On September 11, Reading Legacies hosted a special Family Story Hour at Liberty Station. John and Stacy Snyder, local children’s book authors, read their books to nine families. Seven amazing volunteers from Teen Volunteers in Action helped out at this event. Our special guest speakers were Greg Williams and his daughter, Melissa White, who shared their personal experiences with the Book Bridges program with the group. Joyride Bookshop joined us with their adorable mobile bookstore and had the Snyder’s book available for sale after the event.
