Diane Miller Family Literacy Memorial Fund
Held at the Rancho Santa Fe Foundation in honor and memory of Diane Miller, this Fund provides support for Reading Legacies’ parent education programming.
Diane was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother; she was also an educator, leader, volunteer, and dear friend. Throughout her life, Diane frequently championed the idea that children and communities benefit from positive relationships and foundational education and that we as individuals have a responsibility to meet these needs as much as possible in our own community.
Children can be set up for a lifetime of success through the simple, yet powerful, act of reading aloud to them during their early years. In addition to establishing a sound academic foundation, reading with children lays the groundwork for strong socioemotional development, cognitive growth, and is essential for teaching values, self-worth, compassion, and responsibility.
We wish to carry Diane’s beautiful memory forward and in so doing, honor mothers of all types, as well as educators, and community volunteers, all of whom know the importance of empowering and educating families to ensure the best possible chance of success for their children.
Please consider contributing to the Diane Miller Family Literacy Memorial Fund. Join us in honoring Diane and the mothers and educators in your life and community.
Thank You
